Okay so i was talking to Joseph from exotic pc and he reccomended me the MSI-1651. I am impressed with this laptop overall. I just have a few questions.

1: are there any known problems with this laptop like overheating or anything cracking or breaking? I doubt it but just checking.
2: is this machine due for an update soon? The price at xotic is damn good for me and a more expensive update isnt good for me right now. I plan on buy in july.
3: Any other comments are welcome that i should be aware of? Thanks guys :D

    1) Not that I am aware of, I use two myself.
    2) I believe it will have a new video card, requiring a new MB. Check other thread postings on this Forum on this.
    3) All metal body is well laid out, except IMO the USB locations. Vent runs hot, as does the Laptop. I wouldn't overclock the video. Some varying opinions about the display brightness levels. Again read the other post threads on this Forum.
Would I purchase again? Yes, I bought a third which is not "online" as yet...

right side palm rest gets pretty hot for me. But it's a great laptop. Not a fan of the keyboard, but that isn't a deal breaker b/c it has so many wonderful features.

I see and will that replace the current model with the 9600gt? If so will it be more expensive?

Not sure if its replacing it, not even sure if the 1651 is being made anymore. Yes the price will increase, by how much I am not sure. When I know I will post it.
I am sure the 9800m GS will fit in the 1651 you would need to buy the heatsink for a GT627 though.

the only thing that is really bad in MSI 1651 is the small arrow keys .. other than that its almost perfect for the price

The biggest problem for me is the screen brightness. This usually isn't a problem, but in certain lighting conditions the fact that the screen isn't the brightest around hurts a little, though that is mostly because people around me have laptops that are burn the eyes bright.

I actual like the keyboard flex, I feel like I can type longer and hurts my fingers less than the hard keyboards, but that may just be me,

Not sure how it runs heatwise compared to other laptops, since many people who I have run hwmonitor on have had very abnormal temps on their computers. But doesn't seem to get too hot, install rmclock and lower the voltage to keep cpu temps further down

running Windows 7 on it at the moment and the only piece of driver etc. i had to download was the system manager, though it wasn't really needed.

Would I buy it again? Yes, but with the glossy screen instead of the matte as it is supposedly much brighter (though i'd rather be able to compare in person, as I like the lack of reflection from a matte screen).
