    Just got MSI GT70 DO2

    Have some ?s though.......first off I know nothing about bios or anything like that but my Power button is glowing amber now and I read that that means NVidia optimus is on do need to turn it off im not gaming yet just got the laptop and downloading wow right now so I don't know anything is this bad???

    And second isn't there a app to show me my frames per second while playing a game somewhere???

    The glowing power button is fine, nothing to worry about there. I'm not sure, but the laptop probably switches on the dGPU when the WoW client opens. You'll always see the power button glow amber like that when you game/have a client open. Even if you have steam open, it will glow amber (which is why I like to exit steam when I'm not using it now- I don't know too much about it either haha)

    And fraps is what a lot of people use. You can also record your game with it.

    :p ya I do have steam open too that could be it thank you and one more thing I heard a lot about these getting really really hot I was wondering if there was something yall use to check the tempature??

    There are several programs for temp monitoring, HWinfo is a great utility for that, and it will also show you detailed system information.

    CPU-Z and GPU-Z relay temps, as well as Speccy.
