hey all, just bought it with

    I7-9750
    RTX 2080
    32 GB RAM

My question is, since I’m not super knowledable like most of you, what are the must-do’s out of the box? I hear people saying undervoting? Repasting? Any advice is appreciated

If you have no intention of opening the laptop due to being afraid of damaging the laptop (not a dig, seems like a pricey laptop) then undervolting is the only option on the table.

You’re correct, I’d rather not open it lol. But undervolting sounds like it’ll help some. How do I do that? Is the utuitly to do that in the operating system or is it a 3rd party software?

Honestly, you don't really have to do anything except to enjoy it, there may be software updates available for BIOS, EC firmware, drivers, and OS. Once you are more familiar with your system and want to crank for more then there are guides/instructions available on the forum for undervolting and repasting.

The only other thing I can think of is just registering it on MSI's website. That way it will have the 1 year international warranty if you ever travel abroad. Just something to consider

Where did you purchase it and for how much? What storage and how much did it come with? I’m looking at MSI GE75 and GT75s to purchase.

On Amazon for $2699. Also got a $70 gift card for opening an Amazon Rewards credit card, so it was $2629.
