Hello... I'm having some trouble with my Steelseries keyboard.

Whenever Steelseries Engine is running in the background, my keyboard is not functioning at all.
I am unable to type anything, except when I go into Steelseries Engine and try to change macro shortcuts. The keys are recognized.
However, when I go back to using internet browsers, notepad (everything else), the keyboard doesn't function at all.

As soon as I quit the Steelseries Engine process, they keyboard starts working as perfectly, but at the cost of having a bright white light as my backlit color (no color combination).

Every time I restart my laptop, the keyboard works completely fine... but as soon as SSE runs, it stops working. So I'd then have to exit to proceed as normal. I have tried to update the SSE to the newest one, but no success.

Does anyone have an idea of what might be going on, or what I can do to fix this? I've been using this laptop for almost 2 months, and the keyboard has always worked fine until today. I haven't done any program installations that would mess up the drivers or anything.

Have you installed the latest version of SSE?

    Hello Kevin.
The version of SSE that I currently have is 2.8.450.22786.

I've updated by downloading the setup file from MSI's page and installing it... then simply restarting. The issue still remained.

What's your current version of BIOS and EC?
Do you remember what was the last thing you did/installed before this happened?

    My BIOS version is E1763IMS.50W.
I do not know how to check my current EC firmware (I've checked online)... kind of a newbie.

The last thing I've probably done was some Automatic Windows Updates.. and installing a driver for a USB Gamepad. (it is a MAYFLASH Gamecube Controller Driver). Other than that, I haven't installed anything. Just my usual usage of internet browsing and VLC movie-watching.

Before I proceed...are EC Firmware and BIOS version the same thing? That way I can proceed with the given instructions by MSI with care.

Alright, so I've done some Googling. So I can confirm my BIOS and EC Firmware version:

    BIOS: E1763IMS.50W
    EC Firmware: 1763EMS1 Ver7.13

Can somebody please tell me which BIOS and EC firmware versions I'm supposed to download from the MSI website? I'm not finding their instructions clear enough to know which ones I am supposed to update to (in order to get the latest ones).
