Hey everyone. So I am having an issue with the storage solution on my GT75 8RG. I got a 860 Evo m.2 Sata drive and wanted to use that for my media collection. I already have the 512gb NVME Samsung drive that came with the laptop and added a second 500gb 970 Evo Plus NVME for my game collection. My problem is this...when I installed the 860 Evo in the Sata slot (the one without the thermal pad under the m.2 heatsink), it doesn't show up in the BIOS or in Disk Management. I thought it was a faulty drive so I unplugged the laptop, opened it up, unplugged the battery and installed the 860 Evo in the PCIe slot where the 970 Evo was installed and it shows up in the BIOS and in Windows. I was able to format it and assign it a drive letter. So I thought it was a problem with the actual slot itself and opened it up one more time and put the 970 Evo in the Sata slot and booted into Windows and now all 3 drives are showing up. Problem is, I now have a NVME drive in the Sata slot and a standard Sata drive in the NVME slot. How can I fix this? Under the heatsink, the Sata slot doesn't have the thermal pad so I don't wanna keep the 970 Evo in there and cook the drive. Not to mention I won't be getting the full bandwidth speeds there. Most likely it was just they label it wrong on the slots.

Ok. So can I reuse the thermal pad under the heatsink to cover the other drive or do I need to get a new one? If so which one would you recommend?
