Is this a decent barebone build for the price?

So I think I got a pretty good deal on a 937-16F336 MSI whitebook laptop. It has a 675m, yes this is just that pathetic 580m rebrand, but I still think it will be able to fill in my gaming needs. I've never been able to tell much of a difference between high and ultra on games anyways. I bought a i7-3610QM for it, 8GB of 1600mhz Elpida ram, and a regular old Seagate 500GB 7200rpm hdd. So here are the prices:

    937-16F336-025 MIS Whitebook $786.99
    Seagate 500GB 7200rpm SATA2 16MB $62.99
    8GB (2x4gb) Elpida RAM Memory 204 PC3-12800s $32.25
    Intel Core i7-3610QM i7 $180.00

A total of $1062 for the whole system $1082 including all shipping charges (a crazy $20 shipping charge for the barebone system, all the rest of the parts were ordered from ebay with free shipping)

I know all of you love your flashy 680m GPUs and AMD 7970s, but I really just don't have the money for all of that. Do you think $1062 is too much for all of this or do you think I hit a good deal? I'm personally excited about it and can't wait to get all of the parts in the mail.
The concerns I have with it though is what happened to the support for the whitebooks? Does it not get BIOS updates? It says on the page "Alert: The BIOS of MSI-branded Notebook PC is NOT compatible with the Whitebook Barebone. MSI is not responsible for any damages resulted from improper use or lack of technical expertise." So I'm scared I'll brick it if I try to flash the GT60 bios. Does anyone else owning a 16F3 barebones have any tips? Also, I'm wondering if I'll be able to update the GPU in the future to another nVidia card, maybe next year when the 680m is considered outdated trash and sold on ebay for under $400. Is this even possible?

Sorry for all of the questions, I'm just slightly worried about it all, I hope I didn't rip myself off.

I've seen the system go for about $1850, and $180 for the 3610qm seems like the best bargain in your individual component savings($300+ from various online retailers from what I've seen for that). The other prices on the memory and hard drive are what you would expect to pay almost anywhere else.

Nice! I'm thinking about selling the 675m on ebay and buying a 675mx. I could get $250-350 for the 675m and I could buy the 675mx for $300-450. I just don't understand the 675mx. On notebookcheck it doesn't show hardly any difference in framerates yet it is kepler so it consumes less power and could probably be oc'd really really high, plus I'm thinking driver updates might improve it drastically in the future. Would it be worth the upgrade?

Depends on what you want it to do, but yes to my understanding/if memory serves me well, the 675MX is more OC friendly and has a lower TDP by default to boot. :)
