    Which means if you buy it in USA, will they repair it in european service center? I'm interested too.

    Most of the time warranties on electronics & computers like this are NOT international. Usually there's a qualifier somewhere about the product is meant for use in only COUNTRY XYZ or possibly REGION PQR. Alot of US items will say for use in the US only. (Wonder what they do for military/government officials/private employees located overseas though...)

    To really check on this I'd email your local MSI subsidiary(Europe), the US subsidiary, and maybe the parent Taiwanese company enquiring about this though.

    Well, I just found it on the Russia website. It states is very clear. But on official international it is very vague. But I guess I'm convinced.

    Also bear in mind shipping costs if you buy a US model and they require you to ship to US(or Taiwan) for repair. It's likely to be a 15-16lb item, which would be fairly expensive even for cheap shipping.

    (I'd also keep in mind just buying one from the US or elsewhere and the shipping costs to Russia... Russian guy in the Asus forum got an ASUS W90 over there already with CFed 3870s, and still no sign at all of them here. i.e. you might get GT725s before we do, and I'd REALLY go with one of those if you plan to game alot or use it as a desktop replacement, and/or do some heavy CAD work or other visualization analysis in 3D.)

    I'm currently in USA, but going back to Russia in 3 months. So no shipping cost. And when in Russia, I'll be able to take it to service center in Moscow. At least that's what russian website says. And I'm interested in GT 627. I'm actually not sure if it's in Russia yet. But al the notebooks there are more expensive then in USA up to 1,5 times....

    By the way, on russian site, they say it's 2 year warranty.

    Wrote an email to Russian support, lets see what they say. Although according to the reviews, MSI's customer support sucks. (ALthough I can't complain, cheap prices make up for this)

    well, there's a MSI distributor and service centre where I stay (Malaysia), but MSI notebook prices here are exorbitant. im considering getting one from xoticpc, but i wanna know if i can take it to the service centre in Malaysia under warranty if anything happens. or will they make me send it back to the US.

    Sounds like the warranty is available internationally if you apply for the "global travel performance assurance", but i just wanna be sure. anyone here has managed to repair their faulty MSI notebook under warranty internationally? is there an additional cost to apply for the "global travel performance assurance"?

    I just got an answer from russian tech girl, said I'll get warranty their, but not 2 years, like in Russia, but 1 year like in original country where I bought it (USA).

    I'm buying mine tomorrow.
