that's what i'm hoping for, a kick-ass 5% discount and MSI 3-year extended warranty on my future ms-1039 purchase.

i know you like to troll around and talk about the 1039 being delayed, but it gets old in every thread. Enjoy your Dell machine and hang out in those forums if you don't have anything of value to say in the MSI threads.

it's funny, cause you don't defend MSI cause you want to, or cause they have valid excuse for delaying, you do it cause it's future business for you.
    they're two very different things.
you claim to not try to promote your own shop, but overly promoting msi, and defending them, saying how great they are, is really promoting yourself, as when you get down to it, there are really only 2 or 3 "approved" msi resellers, so, by overly saying how good msi is, you're really just saying "buy from xmeld!!! or rawpowerpc!!"
    see my point.
people should be able to express their opinions on the msi board even if they have a dell, or prefer asus, or "wish" they could afford a MBP.
don't just try to kick off everyone who isn't a potential buyer from the msi board,
it's just not right, and sneaky too!

like i've said earlier, i WANTED and WISH i could have bought a 1039 (and should be free to give my reasons for buying something else)
i called rawpowerpc over month ago, and spoke to unleaded, who claimed to know more than anybody in the U.S. about msi, and told me he'd definitely have the 1039 late march/early april.
    i waited...
don't i have a right to be a little angry?
does MSI, or rawpowerpc really deserve to have my business ???

No one is kicking you off - you made your buying choice, but you stick around to bring up the delay in every thread you can find. We know you are disappointed - we all are disappointed in the delay, both customers and vendors. Everyone knows it has been delayed, and most people understand why. They are at the mercy of ATI and other parts manufacturers, and when ATI delays a shipment, MSI has to delay a shipment. It's basic manufacturing.

No one 'deserves' your business, you can shop anywhere you like. But I just can't figure out why you bother hanging around when you have no contributions, you aren't going to buy an MSI, you aren't researching an MSI, and your only posts are a single complaint about a single product you are no longer buying. If it makes you feel better, I guess more power to you.

I defend MSI because I like their products, I can carry (and have carried) Asus, Uniwill, Twinhead, Clevo, and other products should I feel like it - I choose to carry MSI because I have a good relationship with the manufacturer and I love the product, both desktop parts and laptops.

MSI gave the resellers an expected date, and that date was relayed to the customers as the expected date, not a firm date. Unleaded IS one of the premier resellers and DOES know more than almost anyone about MSI products. We both talked about the 1039 extensively with MSI and each other.

I don't think anyone has the 'right to be angry'. Disappointed, sure. Angry over a delayed notebook seems a little extreme to me. You found an alternate and you're happy with it - so what's the deal?

As for MSI resellers, there are at least 7 listed in MSI's "where to buy" pages, which I almost always refer people to. People are free to research and buy where they like, and they do.

If you want to express your 'opinions' (and you have a number of times), feel free. If you want to troll around regurgitating the same complaint over and over in non-related threads, I'll call you on it. That's not sneaky at all. You've explained your situation and anger on the 1039 thread, where it belongs, but you feel you need to infect every thread, like this one, with your complaints about the 1039.

Get over it - it's a computer, it got delayed, you're angry - we got it.

    no you won't/can't
you're not a mod, don't act like one.

i may be saying the same thing in every post, but so are you.
just defending MSI in every post.
    isn't that the same thing?

uhh yeah, back on topic here..
I'm interested in this student discount too =)! I haven't heard of one for MSI and I'm really looking forward to buying a laptop for my fall courses. That 5% discount will sure save me some cash. More info about the requirements is greatly appreciated!

Sorry, this is irrelevent to the actual post topic.

Umm, so, by "calling you on it," CoffeeShark means that he's "Making it known to the public" or "pointing it out." With the "it" being the fact that you are "regurgitating the same complaint over and over in non-related threads." It does NOT mean that he feels he is some admin that has some sort of power over you.

In fact, you could say you are "calling him on it" when you say he engages in activity that, in your opinion, is "always defending MSI just to sell more notebooks."

I take no position on who's right in what argument, I'm just pointing out that it doesn't seem that you, syxbit, understand what CoffeeShark means when he says he is "calling you on it."

EDIT: Disclaimer at top of post.

I think this topics question was answered and then it went off topic and got personal, so I'm closing the thread. If somebody wants to create a thread with the details on the 5% discount somewhere else instead of replying to this (which you can't 'cause it's closed now) that'd be good.
