the Msi gs60 on best buy has two of the new skylake models. One is the 4k with 6 gb of dedicated memory and the regular model has 3gb of dedicated memory. The cost difference is only $200. Just looking for some tips on which model to lean towards.

If you do Photoshop or video editing, yes. Otherwise, no.

Cozzy70, for $200, I would go with the 6GB VRAM model, you can downscale the 4k for gaming and other times you don't want tiny tiny tiny fonts :)

My thoughts was it was $200 for a 4k monitor, + an extra 128gb SSD and the extra 3GB of VRAM. Since the 4k is now at 60hz I figured like hmscott says, I have it if I need it, but if I don't it was only a marginal cost more compared to how much it would be to rebuy a new system with it.

I also went through Bestbuy, because 0% financing for a year :D
