I'm just now learning about Intel's Quick Sync technology. But I'm getting confused in my research and need some clarification. It seems like a necessary thing to have for video editing purposes, which is something I'll be using my laptop for often.
The i7 2630qm processor that comes with the GT683R should utilize the Quick Sync technology, according to the Intel site, as well as various sites I've read about the specific MSI laptop model.
What I need clarification about is this:
Do all laptops that come with the i7 2630 processor also come with the integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics card? So, does the GT683R (specifically, the PowerPro 11:36 barebones model) come with it? I'm confused because (as far as I know) it doesn't utilize Optimus switching with the GTX 570m card, so I just want to be sure that it can still utilize the Quick Sync technology and take advantage of the integrated card. Does that make sense? Am I thinking about this right?
TL;DR - Am I able to utilize Quick Sync on the barebones model (PowerPro 11:36) of the GT683R?

Ok, I realized I wasn't thinking about this right, because the GT683 has the integrated card switched off. So I just need to know if the Quick Sync still works with the integrated Intel gpu inactive.

Ugh, really? Then I'm really confused and torn because if you do a google search like "GT683 quick sync" a bunch of articles pop up and most if not all of them mention the i7 processor's Quick Sync capabilities with the laptop.

Well that's kind of a bummer considering there's a ton of misinformed articles out there. Thanks for clarifying.
