Hey guys,
I see more FPS matters in CoD Warzone and since I could not bear 1366*768 resolution on the 4K panel of my MSI GS60, I wanted to still play on 1920*1080 which meant overdriving my GTX 970M so it can keep at least 50~ FPS in close combat.
Seeing @cuneyt1984 's awesome thread here, I contacted him and what a nice a guy he is - he did all the work for my vBios and I flashed it.
I indeed got the horsepower needed to keep up with Warzone's close combat demands however since that application, I get freezes. Once or twice whole system halted, other times the game just froze, system was responsive to all inputs immediately. Such freezes occur every 2 hours or so.
Another not-so-power-hungry game hung up while playing so I am thinking this indeed has something to do with the GPU overclock.
My GPU temperatures are around 80-87 under heavy load so although I admit it needs some attention, the instability means (1) the need for more voltage (if so, how much more?) or (2) taking down the frequencies a bit?
Please see the GPU-Z screenshot of the current config.

Thanks in advance

That overclock is more then likely way to much and its causing voltage spiking which then is locking up your laptop.
So your best bet is to knock off the 102mhz from your GPU Core and boost.
You can test this using MSI Afterburner and setting some negative offsets at least for the Stock core speed.
If it improves then you know where the issue is.
See just because your GPU is the same as @cuneyt1984 the silicon lottery will always be an issue.
Also look at the Default boost clock its at 0 thats surely not ment to be like that. -
Took it back to 1000 MHz on your advice and let's see how this goes.
Default boost clock 0? How do I fix that? -
moral hazard Notebook Nobel Laureate
Default boost clock showing 0 in gpuz wouldnt be an issue, just looks like an artifact of using a modded vbios.

Taking it back to 1000 Mhz seems to have done the trick. I wish I could push this old hag further.
