    Since it doesn't have an optical drive, you'd have to use a USB optical drive to play DVD's right?

    What's a reliable brand and model to buy one from?

    i have an Eee 900

    what i have done is get a ide to usb converter cable and used the 2nd dvd drive on my desktop as a usb drive for my Eee

    i tried a usb flash drive and sd card to install xp but it wouldnt work

    but the cable works everytime

    samsung for optical drives imo.. the sony optiarc ones are not made by sony they are lite on drives rebadged..

    well... I suppose it depends if you have a second computer or not - I mean, it'd be pretty easy to either copy a dvd onto a usb drive and then just transfer the movie over to the WIND... or else you could get a USB drive and do it that way too. Just that with 80 gb of memory, space shouldn't be that much of a problem and it's always more power efficient to run off of the HD
