    Hey, I just ordered a MSI GX630-028US:

Operating System Windows Vista Home Premium
CPU Type AMD Athlon X2 QL-62(2.0GHz)
    Screen 15.4" WXGA
    Memory Size 4GB DDR2
    Hard Disk 250GB
    Optical Drive DVD Super Multi
Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT DDR3
    Video Memory 512MB

Would like to know if i could play these games
    Games:
    Crysis med/High settings
    Farcry 2 High settings
    CoD5 High settings
    Mirrors Edge High Settings
pretty much all the new games on high settings.

And will my laptop get better results than my 360? I mean will FarCry 2 look better on my Laptop or on my 360?

Why didn't you try out Crysis to see how the laptop handles itself? I mean it is a very good benchmark.

Yea, that's a little pushing it. More like all medium at 1280 x 800 which should translate to around 25-38fps.

Unlike its storyline, Crysis doesn't have a linear environment. Once you reach the icy environment you'll know exactly what I mean. ;)

So all the games on the 360 are basically being played at medium settings?

You'll be able to play most of those games at the desired settings. Don't count on Crysis, obviously. I'm still waiting for the review promised in the "MSI notebook for 799$" thread, but if it's not up in a few more days I'll just post my own.

There might be a 2-3 FPS difference at most, I wouldn't expect any noticeable difference. The only situations that I've seen that the Core 2 makes a difference is media encoding. In games, it's mostly all about the video card. If you're comparing the QL-60 to something a little faster, like a P8400 or T9300, then yes, there might be a more noticeable difference in gaming performance.

LaptopMag.com has a review of the GX630 here. I'm not quite sure if this is a very good review of it though, I honestly think they were expecting way too much of it. Complaining about Far Cry 2 and Crysis performance on a $800 laptop is rather silly IMO.

Although I do agree with some aspects of the review, especially the keyboard, some of the listed 'Cons' are a bit daft. Unimpressive overclocking? How many laptops are capable of natively overclocking without the assistance of a third party program in the first place? Struggles with resource demanding games? Well duh, it's a sub-$1000 notebook. For those who wants a glimpse of what this notebook is about before buying, it's worth looking at, but I must say this website placed way too high of an expectation on it. For the price, honestly you can't do better hardware-wise.

you are right inferno this review licks bolas

There are probably alot more better reviews out there if i find any i'll post them :D

Edit:LMAO they listed old graphics drivers as a con? Wow just wow how many notebooks have good drivers out the box anyway?
