    Hello guys,

I've never done anything like this. Next week I'll be getting a MSI GT72 Dominator Pro but it comes without SSD so I'll buy it. I can't afford the prices of 256GB+ SSDs so I'll go for a Kingston SSDNow 120GB M.2 SATA.

I already saw some videos and it seems is not hard but anyway, I don't wanna make any mistake. It will be really helpful to me if I have a guide of how to set it up once you run the laptop, I mean BIOS thing and all of that, or maybe when I install it, I just run Windows 8 and install de OS?

make a DVD copy of system before you install new SSD, if you want to stay with original system.

The easiest way is to use a cloning tool (that supports HDD to SSD migration) and just image your old HDD to the new SSD. Bios setup would remain the same once the old drive was removed or formatted.

Just go through the backup and restore process restoring on to the new drive. Once you have backed up the original image remove the old drive while working on the new one and your data/config is safe.

The only possible bios setting you need to change on this process is the boot order.

The onscreen instructions are pretty simple to understand.
There are videos on YouTube that will show the same thing you are going to go through so if you are interested then you can take a look at those videos.

After you've installed it, take a look at this thread of Getting the most from your SSD. ;)
