I just ordered a MSI GT70 Dominator from Xoticpc!

So, I on the checkout I put in "cashrebate" code then for payment I chose paypal (associated with my bank and verified). The Code deducted about $43.56 and now after the eCheck has been approved and processed, Xoticpc saids using paypal cannot use the "cashrebate" code. I'm confused because on the checkout area, it told me to use "cashrebate" or "FREESHIPPING" code and since the rebate code was a lower cost of the laptop I went with that. But other than that I am very excited to get my hands on this laptop!! Looking forward to it!

Hows the fan when gaming with it?

 

I really do not think it is loud at all it is much quieter than my old M17x R3. It ramps up a bit in Titanfall and BF4, but in Diablo 3 it is barely noticeable. I am extremely happy with my GT70 congrats on your new notebook.

Curious though, how come you didn't wait until the GT72 comes out in a month or two? It has a completely new chassis with a dual fan cooling solution.

 

I just needed a new laptop because Im heading to college in a month so I don't really want to wait a month or two for the newer one. I've been searching for a couple of months and the Gt70 dominator seemed very promising that is why im going with that one. haha !

Back when I was in mid college, I had a similar situation and I decided to wait much longer for a release of the Asus G51J. So! I got rid of my previous laptop, bought a lowly netbook and suffered until I got my Asus G51J hahaha

It's a great desktop replacement but I really hope you don't plan on bringing it to lectures lol. If so, you might want to check out some back braces.

 

I might bring it to lectures. I heard it was 2-3 hours of battery life so ill be fine.

 

Using only the intel GPU, your battery life should be much higher. I average at 5 hours on mine when doing office stuff, not playing.

Agreed, even with the larger AC adapter it's about 3 lbs heavier than the GE60 it replaced. Didn't bother me schlepping it through airports earlier this month.

I actually think the AC Adapter would be smaller than the one I already have for my Asus laptop.

 

Out of curiosity, how long did your orders take to pass phase 1 after the payment and order has been confirmed? Mine has been on phase 1 for 4 days now.

 

Phase 1 last the longest as we're usually finishing up previous builds. Once your computer gets started on you'll get a bunch of updates in short succession.

 

Update: It's been 7 business days(weekends does not count) since I got an update and still on phase 1.

Just got this bad boy 7 hours ago!! I have to say, it is fantastic. The feel of the keyboard is so comfortable and it runs super fast.

I need help! Whenever I turn on my fan, games and other programs start to lag. Even when it is plugged in with the AC
