Guys, how do I update my graphics driver? What I know is the one from the device manager then update driver but I'm not sure if this is the right way to update it. And do you guys know what is currently the best driver for GTX 560m? I would appreciate anyone's help. thank you.

Go to nvidia.com and there you can find the newest one, which is the 295.73.

First download Driver Sweeper, and your new driver. Then you can uninstall the existing driver from the control panel. For the nvidia driver, there will be several separate entries/components that you need to remove from the Control Panel -> Uninstall a Program. Once you've done that, (you will need to reboot a couple of times during the removal of these components) then you can boot into Windows and then run Driver Sweeper, targeting Nvidia remnants. Once you've done that, then you can go ahead and install the new driver.

Is all of that necessary nowadays? I gave up years ago going to that sort of trouble, now I just download the latest version and let the installer delete the old and put on the new.

I can understand the need to do a clean sweep when changing from one chipset to another, but is it needed when staying with the same?

Right click on the nvidia icon in the notification area on the lower right, by the clock. Click the on the check for updates, then if any are available, download it and install.

Driver sweeper is no longer necessary, video drivers are now made to be installed over the top of the old ones.
