    How to reset bios on gx640

    Hello, i wonder if there is a way to reset bios without voiding the warranty on the gx 640.

    there's a bios battery under the wireless module. Follow the cables from there to the battery connector. Unplug it for few seconds then plug in again.

    Some kind of "reset" is also performed by shuttining down your pc, removing battery, unplugging AC source and holding power button for .... a long gime 10, 20 or more seconds (I'm not sure about that)

    This procedure doesn't reset the BIOS settings, it is used to discharge any electrostatic current from the guts of the laptop.
