I spilled a couple drops of cough syrup on the space bar of my laptop, and one must've gotten under it before I could clean it up, and its driving me bat. Can anyone tell me how to safely remove the space bar so that I can clean the area?

For the crazier ones out there:
Is it possible to remove the keyboard and wash it with water and then quickly dry it?

LOL, "cough syrup"... i see what u did there.

anyways, i believe it can be taken off but acces to UNDER the keys will require dissassembly of the keyboard itself and i believe they are factory sealed.

No, its cough syrup. Semen would have at least dried out and turned to dust by now, this is still tacky and screwing up my space bar press.

So are you saying that the keys can be removed, or the keyboard? I'm not wanting to remove the entire keyboard, and I kind of assume that that would be possible on just about any laptop.
