    Aw...

When I put my gt725 in sleeping/hibernating mode, often I'm not able to recover it...

Neither if I'm the one who put it in sleep neither if it goes by itself due to power saving..

Usually I push the "on button", i hear some rumors coming from the disks, but nothing on display...

Then If I turn off again, it remains in sleeping, and then again, re-switching on has the same effect from above. Discks rumor but anything on screen.

Then I have to cut off A/C extracting the plug from the rear and then, after switching-on, it starts.

It's not always as described, but it happened to me at least 4/5 times in 2 weeks.

It's a vista problem or mine?

Any suggestion, apart from avoid using it or changing power saver features?

Have you tried kissing it or whatever amounts to kissing in the digital realm?

(Sorry, couldn't resist with that headline).

It doesn't sound good though, I hope that you as a user can't make it -up like that, but it's some fixable Vista problem. Good luck. :)

Think this has been mentioned before, im not sure what goes on to be honest but if its not displaying anything on screen i'd think something to do with graphics, maybe drivers? Are you using the 9.2 modded ?

I installed Vista 64 bit on mine, so my results may not be very valid. But I have never had any problems resuming from sleep states. S3 or S4, for that matter. Just hit the power button and on it comes.

As the above poster mentioned, the problem is most likely video cards. In fact, most Windows related problems are video driver related.

Hi guys, sorry for the long time since the question.

News: now is not only from Sleep/Hibernate but even after Shut Off.

I turn off. And if I try to turn on, it doesn't start. It just lights the button and status icon.

    ..

The problem is not from the beginning Faisal. At first I hadn't any issues.

As Cataclysm and Project stated I also thought is a video driver issue, since I read so on other forums.

And yesterday I tried to restore from a save point before installing 9.2 modded.

But useless, since the driver was uneffected by the restore and is always 8.56.

This evening I'll go for a complete restore of C: Disk, since the PC is brand new and I've just done a file transfer and nothing else.

    I'll keep you informed.

    Tks for the support.

Have you updated EC and BIOS, after you bought it? This I think is more a corrupted EC or BIOS. You can try this one before restoring.
If you didn't updated EC and BIOS do that, but download it only from MSI site.

    From BIOS?
No, if it is already corupted, it will restore to some corrupted settings.
And BIOS and EC Firmware are too diferend things - two different chips on MB. You need to flash them one by one. I'm not sure will this help. This is just a guess.
If you mess things flashing them can harm your computer. So if you don't know what you're doing, don't do it yourself, better call somebody else.

    Tks Genna,
No i mean if doing a bootable disk and reset my pc to original config will also affect BIOS and EC, "rewriting" them back to original settings or it's just a separate procedure.

This are the steps i have in mind:

first I'll try putting on battery, since on MSI forums they told me that EC is going to reset every time I leave both battery and A/C.

And since EC is responsible for controlling power option it should have implication in this case.

Then i'm going to restore it to factory settings.

Should I have again problem I'll make a call to MSI or try to flash via online support of MSI.

Let's cross fingers is not all useless yet.

Well... It will reset your EC. But I don't know will it fix it. Nothing else exept to try. Good Luck!

    Last findings:

With battery inserted and only battery, no prob at all.

With AC on, battery or not, the problem is still there, even after a complete recovery to factory settings...

    crap...

This evening i'll go for flashing Bios and firmware i guess.
