After spending time in a spread sheet and doing some research I have narrowed my search to a quad gx640 or m17x. So Im wondering how the heat, build quality, and keyboard feel. Also do they come with IR ports?
    Thanks!

They do come with IR , keyboard quality is good with no flex (at least on the 725) , The single fan is very good at keeping temps at bay.

You need to look at the screen , that's where it got "flaws" .. Not bright enough for web browsing or other usage but good for gaming.
    No deal breaker though.

    Why not the Gx740 ?

Ahh the screen doesn't bother me as Im used to business class notebooks that many say aren't as vivid. As for the gx740 it is a great notebook, but if Im getting a 17in then WUXGA is 100% Mandatory. I can deal with WSXGA+ in a 15.4, although WUXGA on the gx640 would have made my choice a no brainer.
