    Hey everyone,

Signed up just to ask this. Can all the MSI GT 80 owners provide a picture of their monitors in a pitch black setting to show the light bleed on these?

I already own it and have light bleeds, and curious as to others light bleed situation.

Wondering how common this is with these ones.

    Thanks

    Michael

Seriously 90 views and no one even commenting on their laptop? Am I to assume I'm the only one on planet earth suffering from backlight bleed on GT80 Titan? xD

I'd help if I could but I don.t have mine anymore. I never noticed any bleed but that's something I wouldn't notice unless I specifically went looking for it (just like dead pixels). I thought the screen was great when I had it.

I notice mine on a pitch black screen. I don't know if I'm "looking for it" or not....unfortunately I never paid attention to my screen before I sent it in.....I got more paranoid about screen bleeds while it was sent in and it happened to come up on MSI forums

On a pitch black screen only one bleed is obvious. twice I sent it in. First time it came back with a few noticeable...bleeds..like striations along the bottom vertically (light bleeds shooting up it seemed) I could tell those plain as day with the laptop on a non-black screen. Second time it was a god damn flashlight disco. This time it's pretty solid..except one annoying on on the top left...I can't stand it....why couldn't it have been on the bottom left...sigh

I understand what you mean. I was thinking maybe I would have noticed during a loading screen but most loading screens aren't black. I guess on boot up it would be more noticeable though. I'm much more susceptible to slow refresh screens. My blade 14 was really bad and I even tried to make a video showing it but it's hard to capture on camera. It seemed like either I was the only one to notice, or the only one to complain about it. I eventually had to sell the blade because I couldn't get used to it.

Have you tried posting in one the owners threads? I think t here is more traffic there.

I would assume the owners would hit the main MSI subforum first before clicking on the owners lounge... I'll post there

I think many folks do what I do, I just click the "new posts" at the top and see what threads have unread posts(unread by me) across all forums. For instance I often view a few popular threads in the Clevo forums, but I never actually go look at those forums. If I miss something (gets pushed off bottom of the first "unread" page) then I will never see it at all.
