    Hey guys/girls

i am new here and i just bought the msi gx610 from ebay for 829.99, it was actuallly 799.99 but i wanted an extra 1gb ram to make it 3gb , but i just wanted to post a mini review for anyone interested, It came with a bag and a mouse and get this THE WITCHER , but this game is very good. In my case you had to get the extra ram for the free bag but it was worth it because i wanted the ram anyway.

The Built in speakers in pretty good too for me at least.

so far i have undervolted it to 9.0x= 1000v and it is stable i used auto adjust to adjust the other settings after that and it changed most of them except for the 4.0x multiplier, but before my undervolting my temperatures reached like 77+ C in a 10 min stress test, but after i undervolted it just to these settings it reached like 72 C in a 20 minute stress test, so i am pretty happy , but i am going to undervolt it some more to see how far it can go.

They were supposed to install the extra ram for me but they didn't, I will install the ram later this weekend, but the guy apologized and said i could bring it back and he will install it but i didn't to go through all that hassle, besides it is easy to install ram.

The windows performance is also 4.7 , but thats because of the processor as sOap mentioned in his thread,

    Code:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=212134
You can check for battery information and stuff, because i haven't even opened my battery up lol, I am using ac.

And also my ati HD 2600 is ddr3 and after i installled the latest drivers using the Driver heaven mod tools and got my windows service pack 1 updates

My 3D Business and Gaming Graphics Performance came to- 5.2 with NO Overclocking or anything (before is was 4.9,So i think thats pretty good )

And also without the extra 1gb ram installed if that makes any difference to these scores :)

So you don't need to overclock to get this thing over 5.0, just download the drivers from Driver heaven
and maybe the windows service pack 1 helped i don't know.

Anyway i will post some benchmarks from The Witcher and Call of duty 4 and Halo 2 when i get home because right now i am at my internship job and i am also getting Assasins Creed on the 15th and i will post those bench marks too when i get it if anyone is interested.

I can tell you right now that when i was playing halo 2 i was getting 59+ framerates the whole time with high setting and 2x AA, but that not really that modern of a game so I will post the real benchmarks of the other games later.

If anyone wants me to test crysis just tell me and i will download the demo to test it.

Okay so far i am really happy with this notebook and i don't know the talk about the AMD processors being slow and stuff because to me it is fast, but maybe thats just my opinion.

Thats for now and i will get back at you guys/girls later with the benchmarks, oh also i will get the 3D mark 06 scpre also

Oh forgot soemthing, here are the full specs

    15.4 WXGA (1280 x 800) widescreen
    AMD Turion 64 X 2 TL56 1.8 Ghz Dual core
    2gb ram (ddr2)
    ATI mobility radeon hd2600 256mb (ddr3)
    160 Gb SATA HDD
    1.3mp bison cam
    DVD+RW drive
It is Windows xp/ Vista Compatible
Came with Windows Vista Home Premium

    Okay here are some benchmarks

The Witcher- ALL medium , and animals many and decals long with 2 AA and 16x AF

    2008-08-08 18:50:25 - witcher
    Avg: 21.496 - Min: 0 - Max: 43

I think the zero is because i accidently paused it during the

Call of duty 4 Demo- all meduim and normal 2x AA, glow on( looks cooler)
    2008-08-08 18:56:38 - iw3sp
    Avg: 31.007 - Min: 15 - Max: 56 :)

Both Ran in the 1280x800 resolution
So as you can se they are both pretty playable on this machine, and if anyone wants crysis benchmarks just ask,

oh and also like s0ap said where the fn/ctrl are placed was really annoying cause i kept pressing the fn key

Can you tell me where you got the extra gig of ram. I just bought the MSI GX610-1WOS Brand new in the box, of ebay, for 400 bucks. Actually it was 600, but i used a 10% of coupon, and got 25% off using live.com. I want to upgrade to 3 gigs, but every place i check says this system on hold 2 gigs max. If so, i will noe be happy, as the description on the auction says it is expandable to 4.
