Hi everybody,
I have the well known issue for the msi gx70: the 100% speed fan making so much noise.
This issue appeared when I removed the dedicated video card … and now I use the integrated one and this is the reason for the maximum speed of cpu fan.
I ve tried many solutions and the last one should probably be unlocking the bios for setting up the speed fan.
So.. can someone help me with the guidelines for this operation ?
I know that there is a topic, but it’s somehow difficult to write the usb stick.. can someone describe better ?
or if someone succeeded on gx70 and how ?

Yes you need to switch to IGP mode (why did you remove the GPU by the way?) also I would look up a guide on creating a USB boot stick, understanding that process will help you avoid mistakes with other tasks.
You could donate some beer money to svet over at the msi.com forum to unlock one for you. -
Hi Meaker,
Yes Svet had unlocked my bios.. then I went to amd power express configuration -> px dynamic switch - disabled..
But surprise, the fan continues @100% speed. What can I do ?

just an update> there is nothing to do on amd motherboard... I needed to plug in a dedicated video card.
Once the card is inserted the fan automatically lowers the speed.
Then I could unplug the video card and the fan is still silent.
Help unlock bios on GX70
