I know neither of them of the are out yet, but based of the knowledge of the current 683 and 780R which one would you recommend me getting. Also should i just pre-order which ever one i decide on getting on amazon, or is upgrading the wifi card and adding the thermal cooler from resellers like gentech better off.

Both of those machines have actually been great for us and a lot of it will boil down to your personal preference. I personally like the larger screens on the 780R machines and they come with one of the coolest backlit keyboards I have seen. If you are wanting to upgrade the machine, it's best to get that from a reseller that will do that since MSI doesn't design their machines to be easily user upgradeable.

If you are looking for a 15-16" gt683dx, if need a bigger screen gt780dx.

Ah!, another "important" thing is the backlight keyboard of the 780dx.

would it be easy to replace the base wireless card to an intel advance later on if i find it isnt working out too well, or should i just configure one with it. Trying to decide if the thermal cooling paste and a wireless card upgrade is worth it or just go ahead and get one off newegg.

You should be able to do all those easily yourself. And you'd be surprised at how well stock thermal paste works.
