    Help! Msi GS70 usb ports not working

    They don't work anymore after I took the lid off and replaced my battery. What should I do?

    Is it all of the USB ports on both sides of the system, or just the USB ports on one side?

    If it is USB ports on one side of the laptop, it might be an internal connection causing the issue. If it is all USB ports not working, then I'd say it is software related possibly.

    Can you open up the device manager, plug in the device and verify if the device shows up in it or not?
    Additionally, please check the ribbon cables that are used by the ports.

    I opened it up and the blue ribbon cable was not connected properly. Thanks for the tip.
