I went to the MSI forum to download that USB BIOS flashing utility to update my firmware due to issues of not being able to activate my bluetooth on the touchpad consistently. After I used the tool to update the new firmware, cleared the CMOS, and booted up the computer again, there's a bit of a quick red flash and I"m taken to a blank screen. What can I do to fix my problem? Did I pretty much kill my computer by trying to update the firmware with that BIOS flash program?

Nevermind, I forgot to remove the battery when I did the CMOS reset. I think my firmware is updated now since the bluetooth touchpad seems more responsive now. Oh man this gave me quite a scare....I don't think I want to bother with this flashing again.

Sounds like it may be video card related.

After the screen goes black is it still backlit?

It's the latest one, 432 from 2009-10-14. Yeah I"m also glad I have it fixed too. I was in quite a panic to say the least.
