Hello everyone. I was considering a move to MSI back when I had juuust about had it with this Alienware. So far I'm pleased with it, but I don't want to move away from one machine to have a detriment on another. :p

Essentially I'd like to have at least the same level of an upgrade from the last machine before this one. The CPU was a solid 100% improvement, 920XM vs i5-460M, and the GPU was around 60% faster, 6970M vs GTX 460M. Screen I can do with keeping even if that's possible.

Now to start it off...only choice I'll go for is the GT70.

Anyone have any objections to the GTX 675MX?

GTX 675MX score 40% better with 3DMark11 GPU score and about the same with Vantage GPU score. Its probably runs cooler.

920XM is a nice chip though. But compared to 3630QM which is included in the GT70, its a lot slower when not overclocked.

You get a lot of nice features with the GT70 too compared to other systems. Dynaudio, probably the best speakers in the market. Built in amplifier which makes great audio through your headphones. MSATA raid0 card. You can edit the fan speeds with software. Matte screen.

    Whats not to like :)
