Hi,
So i removed the heatsink of my laptop along with its heat pipe... cleared the dust BUT there were barely any.. The thermal paste however looked like this :-

On the GPU
I think they look bad, i havent seen any thermal paste applied before ( ITS MY FIRST TIME SO I FEEL KIND OF GREAT). So should i change the thermal paste?
My current readings are GPU :- 55*C Idle and 95-100*C in GRID although only 80s in bad company 2
CPU :- 40*C- 75*C

Looks like the paste is not spreading across the dies. This could be due to the heatsink not sitting low enough. MSI tries to compensate by applying a thicker layer of paste which is not optimal. My GX640 had the same issue but only for the GPU. I also have a GX630 but the paste spreads evenly on that one even with a thin layer. Like hazard said, reapply the paste. Then after a couple of minutes, take the heatsink off to observe how well the paste spreads across the dies. You may want to consider using copper shims in your case. Check this thread. I did a quick tutorial on adding a shim for my 640.
