    Hi!

Is it true that Haswell only supports DDR3L RAM (1.35 V)?
Better said: will Haswell support EVERY DDR3L Stick: 1600, 1866, 2133 MHz (if they exist ^^)?

I tested already with my GT 70 20D:
Corsair Vengeance 1600 Mhz 1.5V and it didnt work. My friends Alienware 14 didnt take that RAM too.

Today i ordered 16 GB Crucial Ballistix 1866MHz 1.35V RAM (CL10 !!! :D ) and i will try it as soon as it arrives. The Crucial Homepage guarantees the compitability with the GT70 ;) Here the Link: BLS2C8G3N18AES4CEU - 16GB kit (8GBx2), Ballistix 204-pin SODIMM , DDR3 PC3-14900 from Crucial.com

I ordered some Kingston HyperX PNP LoVo 1866MHz too and i will compare these 2 in Benchmarks once they arrive. And of course i will share the info with you!

    best regards,
    Dominik

    edit: theres also 1866MHz G.Skill RAM: G.Skill RipJaws SO-DIMM Kit 16GB, DDR3L-1866, CL10-10-10-32
it has slightly worse timings compared to the Crucial, but its not available where i live, so i cant test it....maybe some other maniac from the forum wants to? :D

According to Intel's site, they only list support for DDR3L. I suppose trial and error will let us know the final verdict. :)

I can say that I have also tried Corsair Vengeance 1600 Mhz 1.5V 8GB X 2 and they worked just fine. However the speed windows score was decreased to 7.9 compared to what shows now (8.2). Other then that, I did not see any performance difference (slower or faster), but they worked just fine... I am surprised to see that was not the case with your machine. And yes, I am talking about MSI GT60 2OD :)

1.5V ram will run if it can cope with 1.35V, haswell notebooks will always put 1.35V through the mem.

All will perform around the same, just go for the cheapest at the size you need.

The Gskill 2x4GB kit is cheaper than the corsair kit.
