I'm very tempted at getting the WIND from amazon but thankfully one member noted that it was only given with the 3 cell battery - a total rip off at the price amazon was giving it at. So I decided to wait.
But checking out the measurements, I was beginning to wonder if my hands could type comfortably. I don't have thick hands, but I do have thin fingers with a wide palm.
What is anyone's opinion on typing with it? BTW, I've never typed with this class of notebook so even the EEE I don't know how it feels.

Well, I guess I'm the only one ordering then.
All the first deliveries will have 3 cells. The 3 cell lasts 2,5 hours.
It will keep the weight around 1kg, where as 6cell will weigh 1,2kg.
I have not typed on it yet, but laptopmag says it's good:
Roomy Keyboard, Small Touchpad
The Wind NB’s keyboard layout is pretty close to full size, and the matte keys offered a good amount of springy feedback when typing. The HP Mini-Note offers slightly larger keys, especially the Shift and Enter keys, and the keys are treated with a protective coating to prevent wear and tear. Nevertheless, touch typists should have no problems using the Wind NB for extended periods.
Measuring 2.0 x 1.7 inches, the trackpad on the Wind NB is disappointingly small, requiring more movement than we would like. The mouse button, a single bar that serves as a left and right click control, is also less than ideal. It lacks a divot to separate the buttons, feels mushy, and requires a firm press. We would prefer two dedicated buttons with more tactile response, but this arrangement is still better than the vertically oriented touchpad buttons on the HP Mini-Note.

They keyboard is only 20% smaller than a normal keyboard.

It may still be comfortable to use, but 20% of anything is a lot. If you disagree, send me 20% of your salary since you won't miss it.

The official press release info lists the WinXP model at $499 with a 6 cell battery.
So $549 with a 3 cell is a huge ripoff. -
Well in my opinion it's not a rip off. I always take press releases with a grain of salt. Look at Asus with their $199 laptop.
In the case of the battery, there has been some fire incidents in the largest battery factory, causing a shortage in 6cell battery's. So I don't really blame MSI for that.
Has anyone typed with the WIND?
