The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     First post here.

    I'm getting ready to purchase a 628 when they become available, and I was wondering if anyone has attempted to replace the keyboard with a backlit model, or, if possible, mod the stock one.

    Good question, Id be interested to see if this is possible also. I had been looking at the m15x and I really would have liked the keyboard.
