Does anyone know where I can buy a sata caddy for a 12.5mm sata hard drive to put it in the optical bay of the gx620? I had found a store a while ago but I can't find the thread anymore....

The hard drive is the new 12.5mm 750gb WD, I need an enclosure that can accommodate that size. I know the optical bay is for 12.7mm slim drives...

    12.7mm sata optical bay caddy

I have the 9.5mm one that allows a 9.5mm drive to sit in flush with the top of the unit. The 12.7mm ebay versions (which only are for pata or sata-to-pata) advertise they accept a 12.7mm HDD, so I would say this will do the same.

So should I be using 9.5mm or 12.7mm for ex625?

that depends on what kind of hard drives you will be using. If you are planning on using western digital's 750GB or 1TB drives, then you will need the 12.7mm one. Otherwise, the 9.5mm.

So I can use either wow, I kindy figured from other posts just wasnt sure. Well I only needed a 500GB hard drive but at least that's an option for the future. Another reason I asked because I got 9.5mm one and it doesn't seem to fit right unless I don't screw on the small bracket with the hole from the optical drive.

Did anyone get the small bracket to fit right on an ex625 without having to remove it and anyone got any ideas for a way to cover the space left by not having the optical drive + bezel filling in the space?

Best to measure how tall the optical drive is when you pull it out and then get the right 9.5mm or 12.7mm caddy. Though EX625 pic above looks like it's a 12.7mm unit.

If that's a cutout on the right side then the caddy would need some dremelling to fit in the slot.

I already have the 9.5mm and it fits fine without the small bracket attached to it. With the small bracket attached, the bracket doesn't seem to fit right so I can secure the caddy. The bezel is another issue, which is no big deal.
