Resellers have confirmed it will be available mid to late december. There maybe a barebone version later but nothing about 683. Also according to them it will be very limited quantity.

As of today the info from MSI says GT78x with the GTX 580M will not arrive until next year, sometime in late January. It was originally to be mid-late December but has been moved foward. The barebone version will follow much later.

Xoticpc has this model for preorder now, but is not letting you remove the SSD which i don't need and should bring the price down a bit. Curious why there isnt an option to remove the ssd for lets say a 500g 7200 or something..

Because it ships from the factory with one.

It's one thing to remove a 500GB HDD (and perhaps sell it on) it's quite another to shift an SSD.

The GT783-625US is not going to be available through resellers/gaming partners. There will be another model that is but the MSI part/model number has not been released yet.

    GT783R-xxxUS:
It will have 2670QM, 12GB Memory, 1.5TB Raid 0 (2 x 750GB HDD), And BD Burner. The pricing will be around $22xx.00

ETA is still supposed to be January.
