I received my GT735 last week and was trying to use the eSATA connection with an external enclosure. I have a CoolMax HD -350 from newegg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817159093. I can now connect using USB (takes 2 ports to power) but the eSATA mode still will not detect (still using 1 USB for power). If I boot with the enclosure connected for eSATA mode, it will not allow access to the bios menu, freezing right before the menu would normally display (black screen). Trying to boot to Vista sometimes fails with a lockup at post.
Without the drive connected going into the bios shows eSATA as disabled or not available or something, I can't remember the exact word but I got the impression this was due to no drive being present which seems logical but then I thought maybe eSATA was not usable at all. Is there something I am missing like a driver?
Also, the drive in the external enclosure has 4 partitions only one of which is NTFS, the others are EXT3 and the swap for my Ubuntu install.
Thanks in advance,
John

Have you tried going into the bios without the Removable HDD and set eSata options to Enabled?
