So i was about to get the gt72 w 980m and broadwell i7 until i saw the new gt72 w skylake for around 400usd more. Do you guys think its worth to pay 400usd more just for the newer variant + 1 year warraty? Ill be buying the gt72 broadwell via ebay and only has 180day end user warranty. Any input will be greatly appreciated mates.

I'd say to go with the skylake one if it aligns with your budget enough. Skylake offers a lot of advantages over the broadwell with higher speed ram, and drives plus a 2 year warranty on MSI from a partnered reseller.

All MSI NB comes with 2-year warranty and if you register within 30 days of your purchase then you will also get ADC (accidental warranty) overlapping on the first warranty year.
It is the latest and greatest so the $400 does justify for the difference. Let us know if you have any questions. :)

Ill be purchasing it in the us as the ph prices are crazy high. I read it only comes with a 1 year global warranty. Budget is 2.2kusd max but of course the lower i spend, the better. Chatted with pat extensively said thediscounts you could give were quite minimal on msi machines even with the returning customer discount price is over 2k. Cheapest one i saw was from ncixus 6700hq gtx980m 16gbram 1tb hdd 256ssd. Still hoping to find me a cheaper one. I still have time to search as ill pick one up on the 2nd week of march yet or hope someone will be selling refurbs over at ebay haha.
