    So I'm trying to decide between a 980m gt72 or a sli 970m gt80s, I don't care about size but I'm not sure which version I should buy. I'm looking to purchase ASAP. Any help or recommendations are welcome thanks

    970m's in sli are much faster when sli is working. 980m is better for anything else that doesn't support it. The titan is overall a better machine. Built much better, more expansion. Always have the option for 1 powerful gpu upgrade or 2 in the future. Better keyboard and sound. I would go for the titan with 970m sli, but make sure the games you play support sli. Lastly, make sure the 970m's are the 6GB versions, even though I'm sure they are since its MXM.

    I would personally suggest staying away from SLI for the time being. It's a mess and a 980M is very adequate for 1080P gaming.

    Furthermore I find the GT80s too bulky and would only consider the 980 DESKTOP SLI for it to be worth it. Plus the GT72 is guaranteed for a GPU upgrade to pascal, whereas when having the GT80S issues may arise from fitting 2 graphics cards in there as Pascal MXM modules will be larger in size.

    Feel free to ask anything :)

    Since you have both of these models in your list of choice, portability isn't a major factor here.
    You can purchase either model but SLI version can be underpowered.

    If I was looking for an SLI machine, I'd wait for the upcoming GT73.

    GT80 = buy a desktop already
