Hello everyone...New here obviously. Last PC I built was a Athalon XP 1700, stll have the tank and it runs just fine... I had a HP 6700 w/gforce 8400, as u all know it burnt up, sent it in and it burnt up again, so gutted it for the HD, Blu Ray, t8100 CPU and Ram. Found a few MSI 620(s) and samsung barebones w/gt 9600 in them. It will die too.

I am not a gamer but if I can snap together a decent laptop for 350 to 400 dollars I would be happy.

Inferno and a few others seem to be the risk takers and willing to burn up their laptops and I thank them for that. I just am looking to keep it simple and make sure the system is stable and that the HDMI out works. So can someone tell me which ATI MXM II or III card installs with the most form match correctness?

And since you are removing a nvidia product and going ati wouldn't it require a whole different set of drivers, video, motherboard etc....

Sorry for the long post but ignorance mixed with I can DO IT might cost me another 4 bills on top of the 9 bills I had in the HP....

I found on ebay a 3650 MXM II, pls assist

heres the link to the card, he has 10 of them

    thanks
    Dom

The 3650 will work but the 9600m GT is a better card. Someone on NBR just put a ATI 3870 MXM III in there GX620... You can put the following cards in the GX620:

    ATI 3650
    ATI 3850
    ATI 3870
    ATI 4670
    ATI 4850 I believe

    nvidia 9600m GT
    nvidia 9700m GT
    nvidia 9700m GTS
    nvidia 9800m GS
    nvidia GTS 160m

There are probably others that will work.. These are just the ones that come to my head..
