Am just about to place an order for a GT627-218US and was wondering if people could recommend places that are good in terms of service, shipping time and return policy...

I was thinking of getting it from xotic but they don't seem to have it in stock yet.

    ^^^^^^

According to the rep that I spoke with last Monday, if there's an "Add to cart" button for the item, then it is in stock. Otherwise, the button will state "notify" or something like that.

With that being said, I went with Newegg.

newegg is the best place to buy laptops, customer service is top notch. Go to resellerratings.com and look for newegg. Nobody can beat their customer service. When I call, I never wait. When I returned my G50vt with defects, the same day they sent me rma and nxt day, they got my package and replaced right away. That's how fast they are. I ordered Monday 1am, later at 1pm, it was shipped. Next day got my laptop, that's with standard ground ups, but got it in 1day. Superb huh?? They have 3 warehouses that's why they ship quick, but sometimes it depends where you from. I know for sure thy have one in La. Since that's where primary newegg is. And one more thing, if you re going to use your debit/credit card, make sure your phone number and billing and shipping address on your newegg account and your debit/credit card matches. If your a first time buyer, thyre going to confirm that first, but it should not take long if it matches. Even they say it takes 2-3 days. As longxas everything is right it gets confirmed right away the day you order and they will even ship the same day. Samething happened to me. So, newegg ftw.

I bought my laptop and my previous laptop with newegg. However, There is one small caveat. Warranty. MSI warranty is kinda mediocre in support. (for extended) If you want good support with repairs and not some half baked repair job. (not nailing MSI here just laptop makers in general) I would go with XoticPC. If you are like me. Who doesn't fear problems (brother-inlaw is computer repair guy) then shoot for Newegg. If its a dud newegg is Superb in remedying the situation if you have minor problems or annoyances then XoticPC's in house warranty is by far and wide a much better peace of mind and well worth the small price for their in house warranty.

I was originally leaning towards Xotic for the warranty... but as I said unfortunately they don't seem to have it in stock so I'm porbably going with newegg.

Thank you for all your opinions they are very helpful.

Ok, then! Let me ask something - Where I can buy MSI barebone laptop, but I need the seller to provide international shipping? Because NewEgg don't ship inrnationally and don't have barebones. E-Bay is not a option anymore.

I think it's gonna be better if you state a specific country you need to ship to.
