I was looking to get a GT725 from http://www.rkcomputer.net , but while communicating with them, I found out that the warranty for the laptop is not global.
I previously asked the local importers (who don't carry this model) if they'd support a laptop bought abroad and they said they will if it's under warranty and with a purchase receipt, though.
Is there really no way to get a global warranty for MSI laptops?
Should I still go for it?
Advice appreciated...

Apparently it is global on the MSI Europe site it states that notebooks and pretty much everything they make is under global warranty -

Interesting...
The question is whether they have two different types of warranties (different for the US?) or it's the same and if I have a receipt and a warranty card the any support center will accept it. -
Sometimes US MSI laptops get warranty extended in other countries.
I got 1yr global when I bought in frm a local dealer.
Anyways global warranty is nt like local warranty, somethings are chargeable in global warranty. -

I asked them again and here's the reply I got:
"Here is the USA warranty link;
http://www.msimobile.com/warranty/limited_notebooks.aspx
I just spoke with msi last week and asked them if their warranty for usa products was global, we were told it is not." -
I got 24 months warranty only, with the first 12months being global.
Sad that MSI does nt offer global warranty to US customers.
But a little talk with MSI wud do the trick, i suppose. -

Don't feel like begging them. I guess I'll go with Asus.
