    Not sure if this is in the right place so if it's not I apologize. I just ordered a MSI GT-76 Titan from Gentech PC. The order is in some sort of pre-order status. I'm just wondering what exactly that means and if anyone can tell me the turnaround time for an order in that status. I tried to post in the Gentech pc thread but I apparently have insufficient privileges to do so. Thanks for any help. :)

    No it still hasn't arrived :(

    Apparently the shipment isn't coming until the middle of July. I talked to Ken at Gentech. If it doesn't arrive by mid-July, then I'm just going to switch to the GE75....assuming it's still in stock and not backordered by then.

    It feels as if MSI is phasing out the GT76. There is an awful lack of options for such laptop, while ever increasing options for GE/P/GS etc etc.

    I ordered from Gentech a d had a similar experience. Delivery was supposed to be 5-7 business days and after 5 weeks still waiting for them to even get the system that should have been in stock I cancelled my order and received a refund.

    This seems to be a trend for them.

    I have also ordered from them, but it seems I can't contact them. It's been about a month now, considering to cancel and get a refund.

    Many MSI laptops are on pre-order due to parts shortage and lack of cargo. This is the same to other brands like Asus and Gigabyte.

    Pre-orders can be cancel at anytime.

    I ended up canceling the GT76 because I got tired of waiting for it to arrive at GenTech. I instead ordered a GE75 from GenTech which they had in stock. It should arrive Wednesday July 22. Wanted the GT76 but I need a new laptop. Thankfully the GE75 came with better specs. A larger ssd, higher refresh rate monitor, more RAM, the super version of the RTX 2070. I also opted for the 2 year warranty through GenTech.

    Finally got my laptop shipped. I also ordered a GE75 but with the higher spec RTX 2080. Went through DHL with shipping as I can't wait any further. Hopefully I'll get it by tomorrow :). It would really help if the guys at Gentech gives updates as the longer the wait with no update definitely causes paranoia (specially since the laptop costs a lot). Will probably order again but will do it about 2 months before my target date. Thanks Ken for responding to my emails and taking my calls.
