drat... Joybook S42 not supported because of hybrid graphics..
-
I hurd on the gateway forums that after he installed this driver, his scaling went off 1920x1200 lookeddifferent, 1680x1050 went 1600x1100 1440x900 wen 1400x1050. And doesnt fill up the whole screen.
-
-
I wonder which msi model comes with GeForce GT 240M ? , i thought it was GX633 but i was wrong
-
With these new drivers my HDMI connection to a HDTV shows up as DVI. Conseq. I dont get any sound over my HDMI cable...
Anyone else having this problem?
Specs in my sig. -
Heh, ofiicial BETA
-
click on "NVIDIA HDMI Output" Icon and click "Set Default"
-
Thanks for the information kingtron. Didn't even think of looking at the sound options.. Going to give this a try!
-
I tried your suggestion kingtron, but I'm unable to select the Nvidia HDMI output. It's "not connected"...
Any more suggestions? -
it is working in my gx620 !!
do you get the picture without sound ?
I Have Vista with SP2 and the latest bios 1.0V
and the latest sound card driver Version R2.22 Realtek
you can get it from here
you can try to download and install "Realtek Vista Driver(32/64 bits)"
Edit: try the new WHQL drivers. -
These fixed the lockup issues I was experiencing while gaming on my 1651 running Windows 7. Yay!
-
-
Going to try the WHQL drivers. Rolling back to 182.50 solved the no HDMI audio output by the way. Guess it's a driver related problem.
-
-
any other problems with this driver?
-
these do not want to install for me at all?? on a 620 anyone else have this issue? they dont find the gpu and i can do the have disk but man there is prob 15 or more 9600gt cards to pick from
-
@zfactor
do you have the same hardware id in the attachment photo ?
btw "NVMI.INF" for msi , but no need to manual install
exe should workAttached Files:
-
-
yes its the same but says it can not find a driver compatible if i try a normal install
the driver i downloaded direct from nvidia does not have that inf. nvmi.inf is not listed in the files contained??? -
what is your OS vista or xp 32bit or 64bit ?
-
32bit vista and as i edited above that inf is not contained in the version downloaded direct from nvidia for the 32bit one
-
ok , did you take it from this link ?
http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_notebook_winvista_185.85_whql.html
file name after download is:
185.85_notebook_winvista_32bit_whql.exe -
yes just tried it again same result there is no nvmi.inf contained inside
-
doesnt make sense...
-
i will download it and check , just wait
because i have the 64 bit version and it is there -
looks like nvmm will work but its not a signed driver which is the whole point od whql anyway,,, lol
-
unfortenatly, there is no driver for msi in the 32 bit vista version
no "NVMI.INF" inside
but i have tried both 64 versions of Vista and Windows 7 drivers and it worked.
i'll check the 32 xp version
sorry zfactor -
if i copy the mvmi.inf over it will install but it is not signed that sucks
-
-
the previous one will work fine but again is not signed or whql which i what i wanted for blu ray playback. i swapped the drive to a blu ray player and i cant play them right without the whql cert..
-
Either you Wait for the WHQL version , or you can change your OS to Vista 64

Windows XP 64Bit http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_notebook_winxp64_185.85_whql.html
Windows Server 2003 64Bit http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_notebook_winxp64_185.85_whql.html
Windows Vista 32Bit http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_notebook_winvista_185.85_whql.html
Windows Vista 64Bit http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_notebook_winvista64_185.85_whql.html
Windows 7 32Bit http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_notebook_win7_185.85_whql.html
Windows 7 64Bit http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_notebook_win7_x64_185.85_whql.html -
the 32bit ones do not work for the gx620 or 1651 we have already been going through this i also selected 9m series they will not install as they do not find the correct gpu
-
-
also it is not working in Windows 7 32bit (both 185.81 beta & 185.85 WHQL)
but xp 32bit 185.85 driver is working for msi -
I have a GX630. When it asks what to install (with checkboxes), it only gives the option for the nvidia audio drivers and not the actual video drivers.
-
What is your OS , XP Vista 32/64 ?!
-
-
@ralphfx
Hi,
What did you do about the HDMI issue ? have you checked the WHQL one ? -
correct it is not supported right now by the drivers
-
Yeah, I have 32 bit vista as well. The older beta ones work though. Hope they add support soon. =\
-
Rolling back to driver 182.50 (see www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum) solves the hdmi issue. However this driver allows me to only output 1080p@24Hz (24p) to my Philips 37PFL9603 television (all other refresh rates, including 60Hz, don't give full screen). But since the tv handles 24p very well, this is no problem for me. -
you can Provide your Feedback on nvidia notebook drivers @ nvidia website and request a future support.
from Here -
For those using Windows 7 x64...
Is there any fps drop with GT627-218US with these new drivers on 7(in comparison with Vista)? I read that was quite a problem with 7 a while ago... -
also no support for 32bit (Vista\Win7) for msi notebboks in the new driver 186.03
supports only 64bit
186.03 Windows Vista 64-bit
186.03 Windows 7 64-bit
