    Hey

So, I have been playing the MOH campaign on my GX740, and have been having some issues. I noticed some problems while aiming, and figured I'd try running fraps. I found out, it runs at af max of 20 FPS at native resolution. I have tried lowering the settings, details, resolution and going to Catalyst to reset to factory default. Ran dxdiag but found no obvious problems  .

I had a problem when running Passmark, where the 3d benchmark was very low (I mean, something like 20 fps, and it was considerably lower than similar systems I compared to). I thought it was just the benchmark and left it alone.

How does MOH run on your system, and if the above is considerably lower, any suggestions?

    /Morten

run 3dmark vantage and get the GPU score.

    if it's around 7800-7900 it's fine.

Thx for the reply. I tried running vantage, and got 1908

Then I noticed, that when the test ran, the cooler hardly made a sound. I mean, it's never really loud (nothing like the one on my 8600m gt) but still considerably lower than normal. Turns out, there was something wrong with the driver, which meant, that the card never clocked up from it's power saving mode (try running Vantage with a core clock of 200...) So I reinstalled the latest driver, and voila, 7700 in vantage, and a rock solid 50-60 fps in moh.

Now, I am again an Optimist Prime ;)

I ran a temp stress test, no problems whatsoever.

The funny thing is, I had installed the latest drivers from ATI, which apperantly screwed up the whole thing. The one I installed yesterday were the one from MSI, which is dated june this year.

Well, the problem is solved, so I am a happy gamer once again
