    I was going to buy a new CPU the 940XM or 840QM will they work with my system just wondering before I blow 200-400$

    BTW I have the Canadian version with the core i5-430m

    If you're looking at getting an OEM of the 940xm, plan on spending a bit more than $400. Why not settle in the middle for a 920xm?

    Yeah sorry I am getting the 920XM I got the numbers mixed up...
    Anyways getting the 920XM for $300 is that a good price?

    Also now that I was looking around, does the i7-2630QM or anyone of those new series work with our chipset because I have a friend down the street who has offered to swap it for my i5 and some cash.

    NVM I bought the 920XM, but anyways I found it its not compatible anyways.

    dont buy it becouse gx740 does not support sandy bridge cpu's, if it would, everybody would have them in by now :D

    Imo he founds out that the SB CPU isn't working and therefore buyed a 920XM.
