    Hi
I already have the disassembly guide from the msi forum but it only helps so much as it's not focused on repasting.
I think I can get to the cpu and gpu. My problems are unsetting/resetting the heatpipe and applying the correct amount of paste (rectangular chip). I am going to use ICD 24.

Overall, this doesn't seem to be a difficult task but I've never got a chance to open and repaste a laptop so I just wanted this to go as smooth as possible. Don't get me wrong I'd love to be mess with it and figure it out and be nerdy but warranty is too precious to me :p

So if anyone can help me out by directing me to video/pics anything I'd appreciate it :D
My idea here is to discover hidden resources (like the disassembly guide).

Take 4 screws off the fan, pull (the fan) out gently, but do not pull the fan cables out - it is not needed. remove 3 screws from cpu heatsink and pull it up, slide out the heatsink. Clean it with isoprophyl or alkohol, do the same with your cpu -gently. boil 0.5l of water, pure 1/3 water into the cup, put ICD tube into it for 5 min, then change the water - for hotter one and wait another 3 min - this will make ICD easy to apply. Apply ICD, 1mm long across whole DIE- longer part and quick press the heatsink down - DO NOT MOVE IT - IT MUST be perfectly under the DIE. Press it hard, MOBO will gently bend, but it is normal, place 3 screws back while holding the heatsink down - DO NOT MOVE IT :), place the fan back, 4 screws, turn PC ON and check the temps. below 50 idlle is good.

Thanks for providing the details :) Although as for heating the ICD I don't think I will be doing that for easy application since I would like to follow the application instructions from ICD site.

Following their procedure is nothing wrong, but... if you will not heat up the grease, repasting will fail for sure. Desktop users have this advantage, that they can apply more prssure when repasting and their DIE is not exposed like ours (really dont know why is like that, maybe somebody knows ? ) so they can skip heating the grease.
You must apply 3 tons of pressure to spread it like you need/want, belive me, it is very hard :/
If you want to stick with their procedure, then do it, apply the paste, push the heatsink down as hard as you can and take it off to see the coverage of DIE (remember that our DIE is smaller than desktop equivalent, so you must use smaller amount of ICD, i say approx 1/2 of what they say ), after that, you wil propably put it inside hot water :p

    good luck man :D
