Tnx for the links. But you should replace the firmware link of the white brand ms-1722. Because it doesn't contain the firmware, but just the bios.
-
Thx it will be adjusted, issue with the BIOS file upload trough RapidShare.
-
This BIOS update started making my GT725 beep once on POST. I hope that's nothing bad.
-
When it comes to Bios updates unless its real important, If its not broken, dont mess with it.
-
I got it fixed. I set my CMOS settings to default. No more beeps.
While on the subject of the BIOS, I have a question. This comp has 800Mhz RAM in it so how come the DRAM setting is set to 667Mhz in CMOS by default? -
-
neilnat is correct, if set to 800 when you enable the turbo the ram speed increases and it will lock the system up. Just leave it at 667 and set the OC to 24%, it really makes a big diffrence in games..
-
Depending on the Model leave the FSB set, for me 800 works fine when Turbo is used.
Q9000 @ 2GHz NO-OC / Q9000 @ 2.35GHz OC score in 3DM06= 8200 1024 x 768 -
I'll set it back, but I've encountered no lockups with turbo selected on my P8600 processor and the ram set to 800.

Exactly how does one do the update? My gx720 refuses to boot from a bootable usb.
Can I boot using my vista dvd, got to command prompt, and execute the bios from the usb drive there? -
To make a bootable stick
