I just got a new GX680 and all the keys on the left side of the keyboard emit an audible [loud] clank noise while typing. Anyone esle seen this issue is there a fix or is a issue that needs to be sent in for repairs for? Thanks in advance for assistance.

Believe me I want to send it back but they want a 15% restocking fee which is ridiculous. I spoke with a CSR before I got the laptop and told him I didn't think it was the one I wanted and he suggested I try it as I would have a 15 day customer satisfaction period. SO after I accept it and try it, find out I dont like it and now they want a restocking fee. First time I ever heard of that. So I am not very pleased with NCIX.com

Hey smoke I just bought one and i have the same issue. Owned a comptuer company for over 20 years. This is just my living room gaming computer. I can tell that its the entire keyboard itself is not secured well on the left hand side. when i get time I will remove the keyboard and use electrical tape or very thin neoprene to eliminate the slop between the left side bottom of the keyboard and the top of the case that sits under the keyboard. be careful to not cover any air vents/pathways that might be located there. I havent done it yet but I am 95% sure that this is going to eliminate the problem.

I ended up returning the laptop to NCIX. I was having video issues where the machine would stop responding after sitting unused overnight. I had power management set to high performance so the screen was off but the HDD was still on. I hope you dont have the same problem. I think it had to do with the GT555 as it would say video hardware error in windows reliability history monitor.
