    Hey,

Quite simple really, the microphone does not seem to be working, but had anyone else checked to see if there's worked?

It shows no output when trying to do it in skype, occasionally it will work, but the mic sound is very very very fuzzy and can hardly hear anything.

What do you think it could be?

Have you tried right clicking the speaker thing in the windows bar, and clicking recording devices, then right clicking microphone array or microphone, and then click properties, and then listen to device? If you can hear you voice after you apply it, then your mic is working. If not, turn off all enhancements if you have them on, turn up the level of the microphone array to 100 and the boost to zero.
If this doesn't work, it might be a driver problem or your mic is dead.

    Get a headset...
Using a laptop's mic is pretty much like talking to someone from a runway.

I've never had any bad experience using it with my old laptops. I don't mind when it's quiet and i'm alone.

And I thought I had a good egg :( but now I've found something wrong with it, not going to RMA over it though.

IMO, my mic array sounds better than my headset mic, but that may be attributed to the difference in models...
When did you notice this? Did it work before?

It's never worked. I use skype a fair amount, and I'm trying to get conference calls working, and no one can here me, and then occasionaly they can here a fuzzing noise.

Personally, I would RMA because of my slight OCD. lol. Replaced my lid just because of a slight manufacturing defect. xP

But I'm sure that a 10 dollar mic from walmart or bestbuy would work as well if you don't want to RMA>

Well I don't want to RMA because I bought it in america and I live in the UK, so that would be a lot of shipping charges!

Haha, fair enough, get your moneys worth :)
