does it have to be Canada ? Can you buy US and ship to door or ship to holding company on the border for you to pickup ? Usually it's a bit cheaper that way.

Well I'll tell you why i wanna buy in canada, I just bought the asus g73jh-a2 2 weeks ago from ncix, and it was a total lemon. I had it 1 day, rma'd it that night, shipped it across country overnight the next day, then had to wait 2 weeks to get my refund. I'm starting school in sept, if something goes wrong its just easier to ship for repairs in your own country. I figure if the price is reasonable then the GX660R may be a compairable laptop to get. I just wanna find a place that also services what they sell if possible.

well that's one of the reason why i'd recommend gentechpc/xoticpc/rkcomputers where you can get them to test it for you before it ships out so you minimize the points of failure.

    I'd buy from GenTechPC.
Ken Lee is always on these forums and goes above and beyond your every day reseller.
Answers every question and is extremely helpful.
XoticPC is good too but RKcomputers (tie with GenTechPC for MSI laptops)is a excellent MSI reseller also.

    Yep, all 3 are great.

Personally, I bought my laptop from Gentechpc, Ken was very helpful and quick to respond to questions and even custom requests

well I tried searching but I go no results in Canada, best idea would be to call and check if they're gonna carry it.
What do we have in Canada...
ncix - you know yourself how they deal
newegg - based on problems with us rma's and returns I wouldn't try this
tigerdirect - From what I hear it's a big no no, big problems getting money back
Eurocom - these boards are full of not happy ppl with them
    canadacomputers - don't know
    anitec - don't know
    a-power - don't know
    frontierpc - don't know
    directcanada - don't know

that's just few off top of my head, gl buying in Canada, I would still buy from XoticPc or Gentech
I just bought Sager from Xotic, hope all goes well.

Buy from GenTech. Ken is a really nice guy and handles orders quite fast.

And as others mentioned, buying US is the best way to shop as a Canadian when it comes to technology. Canada likes to spike up the prices by 10-20% for most technology.

    Ken from Gentech

    Joseph from Xoticpc

Both are great sales/tech and reliable.

It doesnt need to be msi no, but they're nice looking.. i was looking at the sager's, but they're so plain Lol
I would like something comparable to the Asus G73JH, i got that for 1800, so around that range. I really want a full 1080p display, everything else is just icing. I wonder in the back of my head, even tho i had a horrible experience with it.. if i bought another asus g73jh from someone like gentec or xotic.. would they test it first and guarantee that it would work with the latest drivers, and my games wouldnt crash within a half hour... so confused. lol

that's a big budget, you could get yourself a lot of products for that price
asus g73 and sager 8760 would be best bets, sager being supposedly better at cooling and better build quality or msi gx740

Good places like gentech or xotic you could even require they update all drivers and bios for you. That is, unless you're anal about being the first one to get to touch the laptop.

so this amazing laptop,, the only thing stopping it from being absolutly amazing is NO backlight keyboard? that should be a STANDARD with lappys in this price range, especially a gameing lappy at that....

it has light everywhere! except where it should have had lights the most!! unsatisfactory,,, haha but ill prolly end up getting this beast anyways, if the G53 isnt out by sept.
