Hello all! First let me say that I just got my 640 this month and I am loving it so far.. Other then my random connection drops..
I am running 64b Win 7 and my connects seems fine. I've ran a program to monitor my signal and it seems to be staying strong, but randomly I will be DC'ed from FFXIV. My connection to my router doesn't drop but I will just randomly DC from the game. I have a old G1S that I've tested on as well and it can stay connected fine. I've also tried to connect my other wireless network(Non-N) and the problem is even worse there. I won't only lose my connection to FFXIV but also to vent and other internet apps.
All my drivers are updated to the latest and 'greatest'.. I've read all over the internet about problems with the 5100 but I haven't been able to find a answer. Hopefully someone here can help me out?

You might need to send it in for a repair or call MSI, if its not the drivers. (I never had that happen to me on my GX640)
Did you get the drivers from here:
    http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=nbdriver&maincat_no=135&prod_no=1998

The driver version on said site was the driver I was using a few days ago, but I was still having this problem. I'm now trying a newer version, from Intel's site, 13.2.1.5. I'm going to try and revert back to the 13.0.0.107 and do some more tests as I am just about done testing with 13.2.1.5.

Edit- Seems like the drivers from the MSI site are behind even more then the ones that came with my laptop? I've just installed them, 12.4.1.4, and I'm going to do some tests and see how they work out.

sorry revive this thread, the 5100 card is a real pos, no matter what driver I used it would only get 1-2mbps of our 10mbps connection, so eventually I found a well priced 6300 and it's perfect now. full signal all over the house and no problems downloading, streaming or online gaming.
