Good evening to you one and all.

Stumbled across this forum just prior to buying my GX640.
I found a lot of useful information here and I extend a thank you to all of you that contributed with information regarding the GX640.

I have to say that I'm very pleased with this computer as it meets and exceeds the expectations I had.

However... my machine has a problem and I want to see if there's anyone else that might have had the misfortune to get a flickering backlight?

For me it's a bit "on and off" and some days are ok while other days the backlight flickers from start and it doesn't matter if I turn it off and on again.

I will send mine in for service and I hope that if you have noticed the same problem that you post it here.
That way we can see if it is a common problem.

Thank you for reading and have a good evening.

    /Morrgan.K

If you have battery on while your plugged in go to your battery screen options and put on full brightness. If not go to every plan and set your screen to full brightness. I had this same problem to.

    Thank you for your reply.
I will give this a try, however it seems a bit odd if this actually works.
To me it seems more as if it's a problem with the inverterboard, however... if I have ever learned anything it's that weird things can and do happen so I will give it a go and see if it helps.
Might take a day or two to see a result for me as it isn't every day it shows.

Again, thank you and have a great evening.

Your the first one that mentioned it! (from what I read here)

This never happened to my GX640.

A veriety of factors could be the reason and this has happened to me before on other laptops.
